Module Fees for Existing Students 2017/18

Even for existing students, the module fee depends on whether you are starting a new award (such as another University Certificate) of if you are continuing on the same award such as the BSc Astronomy).
The module fee does not depend on the award or the module.

New Students

If you are starting a new award, the university considers you to be a new student and will charge the 2017/18 standard distance learning module fee of £1025.

Continuing Students

If you are continuing on the same award in the coming year, the university considers you to be a continuing student.
The module fee depends on when you started your current award.

  1. If you started on your current award in 2016/17, your fee was linked to the UK Retail Price Index and the 2017/18 fee has increased slightly.
    Started 2016/17: £1015
  2. If you started your current award in 2015/16 or before, you will continue to pay the same fee as in 2016/17.
However the continuing student fee depends on the student's country of residence:
  • Living in the UK: £470
  • Living in the EU or Overseas: £525
