Invited public talk by BSc student
11th March 2012
One of the students on our BSc (Hons) in Astronomy has been invited to give a series of talks to the Newcastle Astronomical Society.
Estelle Asmodelle, currently a distance learning student on our BSc (Hons) in Astronomy, has recently given a talk on 'Water on the Moon' at Newcastle Astronomical Society in Australia (www.nas.org.au).
Estelle regularly writes news items for AustraliaĂ¢€™s largest science publication, Cosmos magazine, and having seen her work, NAS invited her to give a series of presentations on astronomy.
The first one, entitled 'Water on the Moon', took place on Friday 3rd February 2012: it went on for 1 hour 8 minutes, with 25 minutes question time Ă¢€“ the reports are that everyone seemed to really enjoy it.
Estelle is now booked in to give another 5 presentations over the next year. Well done!!
